Say you found a few doors in the attic of your home right in the middle of a ground-up renovation. Say those doors were original to the home when it was first built in the early 1900's. Then say you found out those doors couldn't be used because they were too warped. Got your hopes up only to have them dashed, right? Wrong! I love solving problems (and using really cool old materials), so when I was contacted by a homeowner who needed help turning the doors into something usable... well, you get it. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you (part one of the "re-use the doors" program) the Big Green Egg table!

Luckily the designs were approved by the homeowner. I was really excited about building something that felt genuinely different from anything else out there...

..and because of their approval, I can pretty much guarantee you won't see another Big Green Egg table like this one. I intentionally designed the table to look like a re-purposed piece of furniture; like a large TV console or side bar that was moved outdoors. The sliding drawers really give it a finished 'furniture' feel, and the clean lines and tapered legs add a neat, mod, mid-century look. I hope they enjoy it as much as I loved building it!
